MEALS

 

The children bring their own lunch-boxes each morning, with their names clearly written on them. These are put in the fridge and can then be heated up in time for lunch.
Meals are an important part of education. It is a chance for everyone to get together, share views and ideas and help eachother. It is an introduction to « grace and courtersy », learning how live together and respect certain group rules, as well as learning to be autonomous (cutting your own food, helping yourself to water …).



 

NAPS

 

A quiet area is set aside for younger children who need to nap after lunch.



 

AFTERNOON

 

A large garden is at our disponal, every afternoon, when the weather is fair.

 



 

TIMETABLE

 

« The Montessori Ladybirds » is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Children are welcome in the morning between 8.30am and 9.00am.
An after-school child-minding facility is available from 4.40pm to 6.00pm.



 

PARENTS

 

Communication between the parents and the teachers is essential for the well-being of the child.
The school therefore proposes different meeting possibilities:  
- A whole school meeting at the beginning of each term in order to present and discuss the Montessori pedagogy, the material, the organisation of the classroom...
- Individual meetings to discuss the development and progress of each child.
 



 

THE SCHOOL CALENDAR

 

The school calendar and holidays are the same as the French National Education calendar.
